In his work, he always stressed the greatness of Islam and Muslims. Iqbal did not grow in isolation. He is representative of some basic elements of culture. We cannot think of Iqbal without referring to Ghalib as his predecessor. At the sometime, Molana Rumi and Hafiz Sherazi too influenced Iqbal. We have one thousand years of History of Persian in this era that is why Iqbal preferred this language in his poetry. No doubt, he is the "spiritual father of Pakistan".
