John Elia is considered as brilliant and popular Urdu Poet. His extraordinary personality and popularity has served him an important place among the legends of the fraternity. His poetry is easily understood the masses as compare to his complex personality. He belonged to a very great literary family. He has tremendous command over Urdu, Persian, Arabic, English and also some grasp of Greek language. He had deep knowledge of philosophy and history. The materialistic life was bad as compare to his intuitive domain. He was an average looking person. He was dissatisfied, egoistic, hopeless and sensitive person. He represents psychological problems in his poetry. He camouflages his weaknesses and depravity with a sense of domination in works |
