The role of “Fikr-o-Nazar” Magazine in the Tradition of Iqbalism

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to highlight the services of the magazine "Fikr-o-Nazar" with reference to Iqbal. This research shows how magazines and journals have done a great job in popularizing Iqbal's thought. In this regard, old files of magazines and journals have been looked at. Covering all the articles in the magazine "Fikr-o-Nazar", it has been examined what kind of articles were being written in which era. It has also been examined how many articles were written in this magazine and in the beginning period and what is the current situation in the present period? Allama Iqbla’s dream came true in the form of Pakistan. One important purpose, after Pakistan came in to being, was to illuminate Islamic creed with true Islamic discretion. “Islamic Research Institute” was brought in to enistence to attain this objective. This article is an endeavor to highlight services of magazine “Fikr-o-Nazar” promote Iqbal thought. Research has concluded that magazines and journals have played an important role in popularizing Iqbal's thought. In its first fifteen years, Fakro Nazar magazine has made a name for itself in the field of Iqbalism by publishing various articles on Iqbal. The study also found that the magazine “Fakr-o-eNazar”, which used to have a large number of excellent articles, has now seen a decline in both quality and quantity. During this study mix methodology approach is used i.e descriptive analytical and historical. This study find out the result that Magazines and Jourrnals have done a great job popularizing Iqbal’s thought.
