Abstract

The dawn of Urdu literature occurred in Khybar Pakhtunkhwa before 20th century but the first four decades of the 20th century have been termed as the golden age of Urdu literature in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa .literary geniuses of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attempted their best geniuses in all literary genres of Urdu literature and the region. They fully portrayed the cultural, civilizational, religious, social, economic and political conditions of the region. They attracted the attention of the world to this region through depicting living conditions in their writings and literary crafts. Writers of the region created literary crafts in all aspects of literature. The genra of fiction (short story) appeared on the scene in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the second decade of the 20th century. Fiction writers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa burnt their midnight oil to create master pieces in fiction and pave the way for the future generations of fiction writers. Through these efforts, writers have based their writings on their environment and social life with its adjoining ebb and flow. |
