It critically examines how Khan artistically weaves Ghalib's verses, themes, and literary sensibilities into his narrative, crafting a unique prose style that embodies poetic elegance, emotional resonance, and subtle humor. The study reveals that Colonel Muhammad Khan does not merely quote Ghalib for ornamentation, but thoughtfully embeds his poetry to enhance meaning, evoke emotion, and create an aesthetic fusion of verse and prose. Through this poetic intertextuality, Khan's writing transcends conventional narrative, offering readers a rich tapestry of wit, cultural depth, and literary sophistication. The article concludes that Ghalib’s influence was instrumental in shaping Colonel Muhammad Khan’s literary voice and enriching Urdu prose with lyrical and philosophical dimensions. |
