In certain respects, Mushtaq Ahmad Yousufi’s name stands apart from his contemporaries as far as tradition of Urdu humour and satire is concerned. A ready proof of it is the fact that with publication of his maiden effort, “Chirag Taley” he gained attention of readers which has held ever since. Without a doubt the aforementioned writing of Yousufi is a credible and cherished asset of Urdu literature.
