Abstract

Ahmed Javed has a significant place in the Urdu Fiction. He started fiction writing in the 1970’s. His writing’s gave dignity to Urdu fiction. This was the time when Pakistan was dismembered. The period of time that followed, saw negative effects on social and political values of our society. Ahmed Javed wrote in an environment of oppression and suffocation and accentuated the public sentiments in his writings. He depicted in his fiction the symbolic characters of Animals like wolf, dove, cat, mouse etc and through them symbolized the public sentiments. His impact will last for a long time in Urdu Fiction writing.This article focuses on that aspects of Ahmed Javed’s Fiction.
