Literature is always helpful in understanding the changes in any society. Social situations and events are reflected in literature. A writer is a representative of his era. Sumaira Sharif Toor is a renowned contemporary novelist who has deep social consciousness. The themes of her novels are related to every aspect of human life. Feudal system, class conflict, social corruption, exploitation of middle class, emotional and spiritual exploitation of women are included. In this article we have analyzed the contribution of Sumaira Sharif Toor,s novel "ٹوٹا ہوا تارا " in creating social consciousness in the society. |
