Abstract

Mysticism is a reformatory movement which works as a universal voice against the idols of prejudice and narrow-mindedness, simultaneously, at the betterment of humanity. A mystic negates a life of pretention, ostentation, sectarianism and religious narrow-mindedness whereas upholds the cause of love, tolerance simplicity and reality so that human life may flourish in a natural way. Mystic always prefers self control and inner purification to the material progress and bodily comforts and thus invites humanly to think of its highest status. He breaks the chains of colour race and religion and thus twists individuals into a thread of humanity the bond of love. Same applies to Shah Hussain, being a scholar and sufi of high rank. He spent much of his life in prayer and meditation. The first step upon the ladder of mysticism is FINNA-FI-ILSHEIKH. The study of the literary works by Shah Hussain reveals that he easily surmounts the first step, FINNA-FI-ILSHEIKH to the last upon the ladder of mysticism.In this research article, ameak attempt has been made reveal a variety of mystic colours found in the poetry of Shah Hussain.
