Abstract

Humor and Satire of Rashid Ahmad Siddiqui play very important role in Urdu literature. His two books MAZAMEEN-E-RASHEED and KHANDAN are full of humor and satire. His target of satire is not individuals but customs and manners of society. He criticize the characters as a humor as they deal with customs and manners of particular society. His themes are very deep, innovative and of various kinds. His themes include CHARPAI, WAKEEL, BABU, RAIL KA SAFAR, DEHATI DOCTOR, SHAER and EELECTION. In his essays he portrays the deep and actual pictures of life. This article focuses on his victims of satire. |
