Abstract

Oppression and destiny has been an important branch of philosophy and a popular and well known subject of literature. It is related to metaphysical philosophy by nature. Like philosophy, literature has also been interested in metaphysics from the beginning and this tradition continues till now. Like the literature of other languages, Urdu poets and prose writers have also given place to the problems of oppression and destiny in their works. After Iqbal in Urdu poetry, Jon Elia gave special attention to this aspect and gave this subject a central position in his poetry. Jon Elia was a man rather a poet of philosophical thoughts because from his childhood he used to study logic and philosophy. This article analyzes Jon Elia's thoughts about Oppression and destiny۔
