Abstract

For Noon Meem Rashid, Talmih is much more than a poetic technique. He does not consider talmih as a mere gesture of interpretation or explanation by linking it to a past event. Instead, he connects a hidden corner of talmeeh to the end of the moment of existence, by which talmih becomes an expression of continuity out of the tradition. Noom Meem Rashid has a wide range of talmihat, in which there is a galaxy of Islamic, historical and Indian talmihat. Here, we can estimate the extent of Noon Meem Rashid's reading, and it is here that a creative mind is also shown, to whom the diversity of topics is much higher than the poetic merits. |
