Abstract

In Hindu religion the concept of Tridevi (Three Goddess) is used to describe the three famous female deities. These are Saraswati (wife of Brahma), Lakshmi (wife of Vishnu) and Parvati (wife of Shiva). In major religions of the world female is considered as sacred figure who holds highest place in terms of worship. Hinduism is the most complex religion and faith which is followed by millions of people in the world .Qurat ul Ain Haider in her Novels explains the spiritual aspect of the female goddesses of the Hindu religion. Saraswati is famous for learning, arts and music. She is the wife of God Brahma and famous for power of knowledge and pure thought. Whereas Lakshmi is presented as goddess of good fortune and wealth. She is spouse of God Vishnu. She is more powerful and in mythological stories she is portrayed either standing or sitting in a lotus flower. For Hindus, the lotus flower is considered as symbol of spirituality, self-understanding and success. While Parvati is the wife of Shiva and depicted as continuity of life. She is very popular because she is the mother of Ganesha, who is also considered as the god of good fortune and intelligence. As per Hindu mythological stories he is the commander of the divine army of male deities. There are many other famous female goddess in Hindu religion but above mentioned three females are considered as highest in rank. The main reason behind this importance refers to the power/Shakti which these three female goddess possess.
