Abstract

Wali Deccani is one of the earliest established poets of Urdu. He has the status of a teacher in Urdu poetry. Secondly, he also introduces new trends in Urdu poetry by using his artistic abilities. His contribution to creating elegance and sweetness in Urdu poetry had an important position in history. When we study the period of Wali, we found that the ideology of Wahdat-ul-Wujud was in vogue in India at that time. It was this ideology that served the people from their metaphysical thinking. The important thing we see in Wali's method is his journey from metaphor to reality. In his ghazals, he seems to be an aesthetic or idolater. But in reality he is endeavoring and adoring the inner soul in this veil. This article will discuss about metaphysical components of his ghazals.
