Abstract

Latif uz Zaman Khan belonged to Rajputana state of Rajhistan (India). In the aftermath of partition upheavel, he migrated to Pakistan in 1948 and got settled in Karachi.He did Masters in English literature from University of Karachi and embarked upon his career as an educationist. Despite teaching English literature throughout his career, the deepest love for mother tongue (Urdu) never departed his heart. He is famous in literary circles for his research work on Ghalib and Rashid Ahmad Siddiqi.Along with it his meritorious services in the fields of translation, research, editing, letter writing, column writing and character sketching are praiseworthy. |
