Abstract

Alem Khan is a renowned progressive thinker, educationist and fiction writer.”Ghulam jimson ka noha” (Elegy of slaves) is the compilation of his short stories. Progressive consciousness, romantic and poetic diction, symbolic way of narration and subjective point of view are the main qualities which make these short stories unique. These short stories depict the themes of class discrimination, issues of lower class, identity crisis, meaninglessness, nothingness and fear. |
