Syed Masood Ijaz Bukhari is the most significant name of modern Urdu Poet. His intellectual and creative concerns have a socio-cultural backdrop depicted through Pakistani civilizations. It entailed the elementary sketch of his thought and poetry and provides us the outline of all most all the fundamentals ideas which become the building blocks of his poetic pursuits. This article attempts to trace the contours of Syed Masood Ijaz Bukhari creative concerns in their broader aspects. Syed Masood Ijaz's intellectual and literary services in the broadest sense of the importance of poetry and song, imagination, thought and speech in human life and society. They seem to have a deep thought that makes personal symbols impersonal and universal. For this reason, the mental distance between the reader and the poet is maintained. Which, if determined or eliminated, limits the symbolic value of poetry. But where this distance remains indefinite, the symbolic value of creation increases and a new interpretation is possible. Due to these characteristics, Syed Masood Ijaz Bukhari has a unique status. |
